KidSprint USA is a driver member organization with the purpose of determining a true National Champion in the Jr\Kid Sprint Class.  As a member, you can belong to any organization, club or track and still compete against drivers at tracks across the country.  KSUSA is NOT a sanctioning body but a driver member organization available to competitors that run the NMMA based rules and Briggs World Formula engines as Crate Engines in stock or blueprinted form. The engines may or may not be sealed, but all will be Teched by the same specs at Championship races or at local weekly events as determined by the local track officials.

Here is how it works.  Drivers are awarded points for the position they finish the A Feature.  The winner will receive 50 points, 2nd will get 48, 3rd 46, 4th 44 and so on.  Lets say you start on the pole of the A Feature and you win...you get 50 Points.  Driver B starts 10th and finishes 3rd getting 1 passing point for each position they improve.  They get 53 points (3rd is 46 pts plus 7 passing points [10 - 3 = 7]).  As you can see the points gained are based on performance by the driver and also levels the track when it comes to advantages that drivers at tracks with small car counts or start fast guys up front.  You can run a different track every week and your points will still count as long as the A Feature starting lineup and the finish is submitted to KSUSA.

The points are accumulated by the best 14 weekly shows and 1 National during a season from May 1st thru September 31st.  After you have the 15 races in, a better point total will replace the lowest total of the 15 races already ran.  In other words the more you race, the better the chance for improvement in the National point race for the Championship but only during the race season from May thru September.  All we need from the drivers or the track is the Starting Line-up and the Official Finish of the weekly A Feature so we can post the current point standings weekly.
